insulated panels & door systems
INSTALLATION
The building envelope is as important as the refrigeration equipment. A well-designed cold room with an undersized refrigeration system will struggle. A properly sized refrigeration system in a poorly built envelope will run constantly and fail early. We self-perform panel installation and door work. The envelope and the equipment are designed together.
-
Insulated panels are foamed in place using polyurethane foam between metal panels and utilize camlocks to secure themselves together. We service and install all manufactures of insulated panel systems.
-
Freezer floors must be installed in the same fashion as the walls and ceilings. Foam insulation with vapor barrier and sub-floor heating systems are used to prevent groundwater from freezing and lifting the room. Proper design prevents floor heave (one of the most common and expensive failure modes in older freezer installations where little care was given to the room’s foundation). Heave remediation and floor rebuilds also performed.
-
We service all insulated doors, both manual and powered. All brands supported on insulated structures.
-
We can assess your existing structure for signs of failed vapor barrier and give options on repair. Many rooms can be repaired while still standing.
-
We take pride in the quality of our mechanical insulation for refrigerated piping systems. PVC jacketing can be added as well.
-
Sweating panels indicate a void or failure in the insulated system. We perform thermal imaging reports to assess failed structures and help develop a path forward.
